For my first project in the summer semester 2015 I decided to make an experiment with ice cubes in letter forms. I have been freezing every letter of the alphabet with a different liquid like ink, juice of a citron or water mixed with food colouring. After freezing, I melted every letter on seven different papers and documented the process by taking pictures of it. In the end I made a book, where are some processes of my experiments are shown.
The main goal was to discover how the letters will transform while melting and if they will be readable in the end or become something new. The results have been quite different, sometimes the original letter was preserved and sometimes is has become something different.
